Black Reach Mountain stands two day’s worth of travel North-West of Thesis. It is the largest and most easily noticed land mark in the known area and is often used by adventurers to discern direction if the sun is not in view. The structure is a magical mystery in both aspects of the divine and arcane. Few ever take interest and no one knows what lies at the top of it. The mountain itself is a sheer cliff face that rises easily over 6,000 feet, as it points up past the clouds. It’s top is always covered by a spiraling clouds and because of this many different ideas and theories have emerged at to what lies at the top. Most believe that the gods stand up high past the clouds on the top of the mountain as a place that they can look down over the mortals, far out of the sight of the wondering mortal eye.
At the base of the mountain is what most people come to see. Around the base of the mountain in a spiraling pattern, is a vast amount of religious sanctuaries and chapels. Each god is said to have a place here is some shape or form. Very few know how these sanctuaries came to be formed but what is more important, is that in the process, the creators of this area created a mandate between each of the religions that they are to under no circumstances belittle other religions or attack, harm, damage, in any way, shape, or form. With such a vast amount of different ideals, wants, and needs, harmony would seem impossible but it has lasted for as long as anyone can remember.
The sanctuaries around Black-Reach Mountain have organized themselves into a formation that benefits themselves the most and makes it least likely for fights or attacks to break out. To the Northern most point of Black-Reach are the “Good” aligned religions, while to the South the “Evil” aligned churches sit. To the West of the mountain are “Chaotic” and to the East, toward thesis, are considered “Lawful.” The Neutral religions are cast around erratically.
